The Townshend and Stamp Acts..

The Townshend and Stamp Acts were both bad and good to the colony. The Townshend Act are series of laws passed beginning in 1767 by the Paraliament of the Great Britian relating to the British colonies. The Stamp Act is when there was a new tax on every piece of printed paper the colony had used. The Stamp Act happened in 1765 and Townshend Act happened in 1767. This all happened in the British colonies in North America. The Townshend Act needed more money for the British Paraliament. The Stamp Act helped pay the costs of defending and protecting the American Frontier near the Applacian Mountains. The Townshend Act and Stamp Act were both good and bad for the colonies for money. In conclusion the Stamp and Townshend Act were helpful to the colony but used the colonies money up too.
